 Famoso Dragstrip Presents “Twilight Nitro” at the 2024 California Hot Rod Reunion

 Bakersfield, CA (May 10, 2024) – Famoso Dragstrip is excited to announce “Twilight Nitro,” a spectacular three-night event featuring Top Fuel, Funny Cars, Fuel Altereds, and Vintage Nitro Cars at this year’s California Hot Rod Reunion. 

 Fans will be treated to a sensory experience like no other as the sun sets over Famoso Dragstrip, illuminating header flames and the smell of nitro will fill the air. Thursday’s test and tune session for Heritage Series Groups 1 and 2 will be followed by an open four-hour nitro test session that will continue into the evening. Friday will showcase qualifying runs for all three nitro categories throughout the day and into the night under the track lights.

 “We are calling it ‘Twilight Nitro,'” said Blake Bowser of Famoso Dragstrip. “As the sun sets and the track lights go on, we are going to be sending nitro cars down the track! There’s gonna be plenty of nitro in the air as we will also be push starting Vintage Nitro Cars up and down the front chase road in front of the grandstands.”

 Saturday will culminate in a nitro-burning “Sunset Salute,” and Famoso Dragstrip is inviting all fans to be a part of this special event. Fans are encouraged to bring their loved ones, pictures of someone special, or their entire car club to stand in the middle of the nitro cars as they fire up and light up the nighttime sky, reminiscent of the iconic “Ring of Fire.”

 The 2024 California Hot Rod Reunion officially kicks off on Friday October 25th and runs through Sunday the 27th, but a special Thursday test and tune will take place on October 24th and all fans who purchase a Full Event – Three Day Ticket will be allowed to attend Thursday for free! Spectator Tickets and Race Entries will go on sale beginning June 1, 2024 and a full event schedule will be released soon. 

 The 2024 California Hot Rod Reunion will be produced by Famoso Dragstrip and will benefit the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum.
